The Result of Cleaning the Toilet with Bare Hands...

イメージ
Do you currently have something in mind and think, "This is absolutely impossible for me!"? Well, let me tell you, it's actually possible. You see, recently I became able to clean the toilet with my bare hands. About a year ago, when I first heard that "cleaning the toilet with your bare hands brings good luck," I thought it was absolutely impossible for me. But you know what? I somehow managed to do it yesterday. Now, you might be thinking, "Isn't that just a coincidence or specific to toilet cleaning?" Of course, sudden transformations from "absolutely impossible" to "possible" don't happen. However, gradually approaching it, you might find yourself able to do it without even realizing. In fact, there was a time when I completely left toilet cleaning to my husband and hardly ever did it myself. But then, I started with a little cleaning using a toilet brush, progressed to wiping the toilet bowl with a quick wipe, and gra...

Ran 100km in 15 hours... result? DNF!

Have you heard about the 'Last Man Standing Ultra Marathon?' It might not be the world's most famous race, but it has some dedicated fans, and I became one of them last week. So today, I'll share how crazy this race is, what I learned from it, and maybe make you feel like saying, 'Wanna run!' The Last Man Standing (in Japan, we call it Last 'Samurai' Standing) is, as the name suggests, an endurance race (now you know why I like it). Runners need to cover about 6.7 km in 1 hour and start the next 6.7 km in the following hour. Whether you run fast and rest a few minutes or just make it in time, everyone starts simultaneously for the next hour. The last person standing or running wins. Anyone else, regardless of how long or how much they've run, gets a DNF (Did Not Finish). My result was 15 hours, covering just about 100 km, and, of course, it's a DNF. (It seems like the last samurai ran for 70 hours... 469 km!!) I'm pretty satisfied with my res...

Are You Making This Mistake in Your Efficient Dieting Journey?

イメージ
If you're thinking about dieting, and you want to lose weight efficiently, then this is for you. If you thought that being efficient means doing something while dieting, well, that's a bit of a misconception. So, what kind of diet is considered efficient? Today, I'll talk about that. Efficiency, in my personal opinion, means getting results equal to or greater than the effort put into the action. So, if you want to increase efficiency, having a strong image, determination, and belief while concentrating on your actions is the key. Why? Because when thoughts and actions align, things start to work out smoothly, one after another. Having an image of what you want to become and thinking about wanting to lose weight will lead to actual weight loss actions. With such an approach, diet failure is practically impossible. However, for those who may be thinking, "I don't have much time, and it's convenient to go to the gym where I can do running or walking while watch...

Shocking Truth: Goals Hindering Other Goals

イメージ
Slim Down!   Or/And  Get Beautiful! Even though you've set these goals, if you find it challenging to take action and almost a year has passed, you might be wondering... Well, if that's you, it's possible that a hidden agenda of yours is interfering with your primary goals. What does a hidden agenda mean? If you're curious, keep reading. A hidden agenda refers to things you are aiming for or desiring unconsciously. Without you realizing it, you might be heading toward those goals. For example, you say you want to lose weight, but somewhere deep down, if you're secretly thinking, "I want to indulge in lots of sweets!"—you might end up succumbing to that hidden goal or desire. Gasp! Maybe you've had a hunch somewhere along the way... So, does that mean you can't achieve the goal of "losing weight" in the end? If that thought crossed your mind, worry not. Just becoming aware of this hidden agenda can significantly realign your primary goals....

In the past, I was not comfortable crossing my arms or hugging.

Hi, This is Shiori here. I am a personal trainer/diet coach in Tokyo. Since this is the first time to write in English blog... I will start introducing about myself :) Recently, for those engaged in personal entrepreneurship or acting as a solo entrepreneur, there's a common saying to "reveal yourself" or to "show your past failures." I occasionally share pictures from when I was overweight, but talking about what I was thinking at that time, what my mindset was like, is still something I find embarrassing to discuss with others. But this time, even if just a little, I want to encourage you with, "Even someone like me could lose weight!" So, I've decided to lay bare my perspectives on life, my upbringing, embarrassing past, traumas, and so on. I hope this can be a source of inspiration for you. I'll passionately talk about why I became a personal trainer, my upbringing and worldview, the emotions driving my activities, and my future vision and ...
