Setting the deadline is 'being outdated' ??

Hello, Here is your companion trainer, Shiori. The secret to successful dieting is often said to be setting specific goals, such as "lose X kilograms by a certain date." However, in my recent personal opinion, it might be better not to set a deadline! The reason is that when you set a deadline, it often leads to a mentality of enduring until that specific date, pushing yourself too hard, and a high likelihood of rebounding afterward. I frequently see people who diet for events like weddings or resort vacations where they plan to wear a swimsuit, only to return to their original weight or, in some cases, gain even more weight afterward. However, some might argue that without a deadline, it's hard to stay motivated. Still, as mentioned in my previous blog, if a diet isn't sustainable, it might be better not to attempt it in the first place. Of course, if you have a specific event in mind for weight loss, I wouldn't discourage it. However, for those who aim to main

Hello, This is Shiori, an Ideal Shape Guide, Running Companion Trainer. If you find yourself: Gaining weight despite not overeating, Gaining weight through regular daily activities, It might be a good idea to question your own common sense. Because what you consider normal or common sense might actually be behaviors leading to obesity. For example, For someone, it's common sense to eat a full bowl of rice, including dessert. For another person, it's common sense to eat half a bowl of rice, consulting their stomach and leaving food if it feels like too much. If we have these two perspectives, The one who eats half a bowl of rice is undoubtedly on the path to graceful and slim beauty, while the one who eats a full bowl may be prone to weight gain, despite thinking they are not overeating. Growing up in a certain environment and developing habits may make it seem challenging to change one's own perception as an adult. However, let me say something that might be a bit uncomfo

Kayo san, a woman in her 30s working in an office, who had been participating in the monitoring program since September, has completed her program! Although she had some prior exercise experience, the sedentary nature of her office job led to concerns about swelling. After three months of altering her diet and maintaining a workout routine, here are the results for Kayo san: Waist: 79.6cm → 76.7cm Weight: 58.2kg → 56.4kg Body Fat Percentage: 28.0% → 25.0% Muscle Mass: 39.4kg → 39.8kg Basal Metabolic Rate: 1237kcal → 1237kcal Visceral Fat Level: 4.0 → 3.5 Great job on these positive changes! It seems that while Kayo san's overall body fat percentage was slightly higher initially, she wasn't considered obese. Although the numeric changes might not be extreme, the personal satisfaction comes from the remarkable transformation in her abdomen, b

Why do people tend to gain weight when they travel?

Hello everyone, Whether you're here for the first time or a regular reader, thank you for joining me! I'm your companion trainer, Starter Shiori. I've returned from Hiroshima and am currently on Kouri Island. Yesterday was cloudy, but today is perfectly clear! The scenery is absolutely stunning! Now, now, amidst all this, let's talk about the "issue of gaining weight while traveling" today. When you go on a trip, I understand that there are lots of delicious meals and often more reliance on car travel, which can lead to gaining weight. However, as I've mentioned several times before: Traveling = Gaining weight is not always the case. In the first place, the reason for gaining weight is, indeed, related to factors like excessive eating and lack of exercise. However, more significant than that is the fact that "existing habits are disrupted." This doesn't only happen during the trip; it continues even after returning home. Because, gaining a

Thank you to both those visiting for the first time and those who are regular readers! I'm Shiori Statter, your running companion trainer guiding you towards your goals. Over the weekend, I went to Hiroshima for three days. My husband was participating in an ultramarathon, running 100km from Kure City in Hiroshima, so I went along to support him and, in the meantime, practice driving. During the solo drive, I realized, "Ah, accidents happen when you rush to the goal. The same applies to dieting," drawing from my own experiences. Today, I'll share that insight with you. I waved goodbye to my husband, who started early in the morning, and began my first solo drive after witnessing a beautiful sunrise. Since my husband had plenty of time for his 100km run, I thought, "Why not go hiking in the mountains?" I found a mountain called Ichimine-yama, which offered a fantastic view. Although the observatory was reachable by car, the road seemed quite narrow on the m
